Running at the Live Ultimate 5K was my first race ever!  I was very excited to see how I would do.  As my MDC teammates and I waited for the race to begin, we all enjoyed the beautiful South Florida weather and scenery at Miami Beach.

With a minute left until the start of the race, everybody started surrounding each other by the Start/Finish line.  By this time I was already pumped and ready to go!  The race started and we were off.  Half way to the finish line, I told myself, this isn’t so bad after all!  Of course, running by the fascinating Miami Beach, palm trees, and the breeze , it is impossible to not have a good time.  As I got closer to the finish line, I saw my teammates cheering me on, and it felt great to know that in my first 5K I came in at a satisfying time.

Next time ill challenge myself to break my first record!
