I’ll never forget it! There we were, all 40 of us in the end zone ready to perform at the two minute warning of the first quarter when they made the announcement … I was selected to be the Miami Dolphins Cheerleader representative at the 2011 Pro Bowl in Hawaii! My teammates, my choreographer Jackie and my Director Emily all ran over to congratulate me. I felt amazing; I was at the top of the world! The entire game I couldn’t stop jumping up and down in excitement and I had a smile from ear to ear the entire time. At the “friends and family corner” I looked up and couldn’t help laughing when I saw my mom doing the Hula dance up in the club level, she’s ready to pack up for Hawaii too!
I’m excited to see the beautiful island of Oahu and I cannot wait to meet the amazing women that will be representing the other NFL teams. Being chosen the Pro Bowl Cheerleader is the highest honor an NFL Cheerleader can receive and I am still in complete awe of the whole thing. I’m so honored to be the Pro Bowl Cheerleader, but most importantly, I’m honored that my teammates were the ones who voted for me to go represent the entire team.
Being in my fourth year with the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders, this is going to be the last for me. I love the ladies on my team so much so, that they have become almost like sisters to me. I have had so many great moments and memories with this team that I’m sad to say goodbye to it all, but I can’t think of a better way to end my Cheerleading career. Thank you to my amazing teammates who are giving me this opportunity to represent the Miami Dolphins. I’m going to go do my best in Hawaii!!!
