Former Dolphins wide receiver O.J. McDuffie and former Dolphins tight end Troy Drayton joined four Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders on the trip of a lifetime to visit our troops in Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan for two weeks.
“Being able to bring a little bit of the sunshine state to our military men and women overseas was such a rewarding experience,” said 5 year veteran Cheerleader, Amy. “We are all completely honored and humbled to have been invited on this tour.”
From September 26th to October 7th, the group visited a total of 7 military bases in the Middle East: Manas, Bagram, Bastian, FOB Sharana, FOB Orgun-E, Shindand and Camp Stone. They performed, took photos and signed autographs for over thousands of servicemen and women.
“The biggest message that the military wanted us to bring back home was that they are still fighting everyday and they don’t want us to forget that, “said Drayton. “After seeing things firsthand, we are even more grateful to have amazing soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines looking after us over there so that we may be safe over here.”
